Multi-Tier Demand Syncronization

One of the new DemandCaster® features we are working on is multi-tiered demand synchronization.

This new feature will extend DemandCaster® data down to your suppliers as well as up to your customers so they can see actual usage and forecast data.  This feature is similar to vendor managed inventory systems such as Nocturne or i-Supply with the biggest difference being the ability to merge data from others sources.  This allows for planning decisions to be made quickly and in context of relevant information residing in the organization ERP system for example.

Another benefit is improving the speed and accuracy of data across the entire supply chain and the potential elimination of purchase orders and individual order processing transactions.  This addresses a specific challenge that resides in multi-tier supply chains: batching and buffering orders from tier to tier.  This batching is often caused by inefficiencies in the operating functions of the organization resulting in reactive and nervous order management processes.

We expect the feature will go live at by the end of August, 2009.
